We have been a partner for several years, through our distributor Altasur, of one of the largest blind tastings on the South American continent: The Premium Tasting.
This year this prestigious event took place digitally.
After registration, the participants each received a tasting kit so that they could follow online seminars led by recognised professionals from the wine world. Between October and December 2020 we sponsored 3 digital tastings, each with a very particular theme: Mar y Montaña / los Top de Lujan de Cuyo y Vinos de alturas.
Another annual event, organised by Diam Bouchage and a highlight for Argentinean wine professionals, is ‘La Ruta de las Burbujas’ dedicated to sparkling wines. Once again, it is a tasting featuring national producers. The participants meet 3 times a year and then conclude the cycle by presenting the awards to the chosen wines during a major event. For the 2020 edition, this meeting was able to take place - between two confinements - at the Domaine de Chandon (Buenos Aires) and attracted more than 80 professionals.
To end the year 2020 with a final tasting, we sponsored Evinor. Organised by the Association of Oenologists of Northeast Argentina, it is an event designed for professionals to promote the region’s estates and their emblematic grape variety - Torrontés Riojano - at a national level.
As you can imagine, this edition did not take place on site with face-to-face discussions. However, everything was done to maintain the conviviality of the event. A television programme was filmed live and participants were able to interact directly. Those registered had previously received their wine samples and a tasting kit. Lilo Sesto from the Altasur Group - our representative - was once again part of the jury!
