Just as in each year, in July we were partner of the Bere Rosa tasting even which presents a selection of still and sparkling rosé wines, and is organised by Cucina e Vini. Our agent on site was present alongside many Diam and Mytik clients who served up their wines for tastings.
Several days later, our client Ca di Raja, fully aware of the importance of influencers on the social networks, wanted to bring together 50 of the most well-known influencers in Italy. The aim of the event was to present regional wine production from Veneto and the local appellations through a series of tastings hosted by professionals. Diam Bouchage also wished to lend support to this wonderful initiative and was able to present the importance of corking for development of bottled wines to all of these enthusiasts.
In early October, an event was hosted around Nizze in the Piedmont, and we were the exclusive sponsor. “Nizza” is a traditional red wine hailing from the Piedmont and is extremely well-renowned. It is produced in an area comprising some 18 local villages in the Asti province. Our teams were delighted to offer support to the 67 producers of “Nizza” who were present and to discuss their wine, the corking process and good food.
And once more, as in each year, Taormina Gourmet was held. This is one of the most important events in Southern Italy, dedicated to the very best of Italian food and wine, organised by BICA and the Cronache di Gusto. The event involved around a dozen events each day with some of the most renowned chefs in Sicily and tastings of some of the greatest Italian wines, from Barolo to Brunelle, Greco di Tufo to Verdicchio, and last but not least some exceptional wines from Greece and the Moselle.
During this event, our sales manager for Southern Italy, Michele Formagna supported by our local agent Enoservice Milazzo, met with a number of quality producers and congratulated our DIAM clients who received prizes by the panel of professionals (wine experts, critics and journalists).
Finally, and as in each year in Rome, we attended the Sparkle Day which brings together professionals and journalists alike in many tastings proposed by some of the most renowned sparkling wine producers in Italy.
Despite the difficulties encountered due to the pandemic, the organisers managed to find solutions to ensure this event could take place and be a success. A total of 3 venues dedicated to the event allowed 1,000 visitors to attend. This wonderful even, of which we are extremely proud to be a partner, also awarded prizes to a number of Mytik clients.
All in all, the second half of 2021 was very busy for our Italian teams and partners who we would like to thank for their involvement!
